JKPM demands establishment of new Degree Colleges of Physical education, Para-medical courses in Anantnag Assembly Constituency;-
Anantnag,June,11:- Welcoming the recent decision of the State Administrative Council to establish 50 new degree colleges in the state, JKPM State Executive Member and Supreme Court Advocate, Syed Iqbal Tahir has demanded to establish
new degree colleges in Anantnag assembly constituency.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, Iqbal Tahir said that many years back there used to be a Nursing and Para-medical college in Anantnag constituency but on account of political interference, that college was shifted to Bijbehara constituency. He said Anantnag being the nerve-centre of whole South Kashmir, there was a dire need to establish a a nursing cum para medical college in Anantnag constituency.
Iqbal Tahir has also demanded to set up a separate degree college for physical education & bio-medical coursevs in Anantnag, keeping in view a radical increase in the number of students from Anantnag who are keen to study in Physical Education and Bio-medical Science courses.
JKM leader said that a vast chunk of state land was lying idle in Rampora, Kehribal and Wantrag villages of Anantnag which can be used for setting up aforementioned Government collleges.
