The chief spokesman in a statement issued to media from JKLF head office Maqbool Manzil has said that we will not allow India to succeed in her anti-Kashmir and anti-Kashmiri designs that she has been following in Indian held Jammu Kashmir. While strongly reacting to Indian home minister Ran Nath Singh’s recent statement, he stated that India by their repressive policies can’t make the people of the state to surrender their right to self-determination. He further said that BJP’s election manifesto to abrogate article 370 and 35-A, banning local inhabitants to use the very important Jammu Srinagar national highway, putting curbs on the movement of common masses and putting behind the bars the popular leadership clearly indicates that they use it as an election stunt. Spokesman has condemned the ill treatment of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and the sons of Syed Ali Shah Geelani by NIA at their Delhi, headquarters.
Meanwhile JKLF Europe Zone has held a token but impressive anti India protest outside the Indian High Commission in Brussels, Belgium against the banning of JKLF and the arrest of their party chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik. The protest was led by Mushtaq Hussain Dewan, Masood Iqbal Mir, Srdar Zahid Hussain, Mushtaq Pasha, Sardar Naseem Iqbal Advocate, Shabir Ahmad Mirza, Ashfaq Qamar, Khan Habib Khan, Imran Butt, Sardar Adanan Hanif, Zaheer Zahi, Dr Ishtaq Iltaf Khan, Amjid Hussan, Sharif Chaudhry, Nadeem Khan Jaral, Naqash Mushtaq, BabarMirza, Master Ghanzfar, Tariq Hussain Thorarvi, Bazil Naseem, Jaluuehra sighn and others. The speakers on the occasion termed the banning of JKLF and arrest of Yasin Malik as undemocratic and demanded immediate revocation of ban on the party and release of its chairman. The protesters chanted high pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans and vowed to continue the protests if India did not stop human rights violations and their state terrorism in Jammu Kashmir.
