The five brave hearts achieved martyrdom at Kellam during a fierce gunfight with the Indian forces and their collaborators.
The JKDFP Spokesperson said in a statement that our youth are being butchered on daily basis because they want an end to the occupation which has affected the lives of Kashmiri people in every respect throughout the years ever since 1947. He said that our youth are fighting for their basic and fundamental rights and instead of giving them heed they are being massacred day in and day out.
JKDFP Spokesperson said that if India wants to end the ongoing bloodshed in the disputed region it must shun its traditional stubbornness and come with a political approach so that the dispute is resolved according to the wishes of the people once for all.
Meanwhile JKDFP reiterated its demand for the return of mortal remains of Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guru, who were hanged and buried in Tihar jail, Delhi on February 11, 1984 and February 9, 2013 respectively. A party delegation led by Engineer Farooq visited Trehgam, the native place of Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and paid homage to both Shaheed Maqbool and Shaheed Afzal Guru whose nears and dears are still waiting for their mortal remains.
