District Development Commissioner Pulwama G.M Dar today chaired District Quality Assurance committee meet here at DC office Complex Pulwama.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Pulwama Dr. Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon, Deputy CMO, District Information Officer and consultants of different specialisations.
On the occasion, Chief Medical Officer apprised the DDC about the action plan and guidelines of quality assurance programme which is being facilitated by the Ministry of Health and family welfare Government of India. He also briefed the chair about the modus operandi of DNB course which is being introduced in the District hospital shortly. DNB course is a special post-graduate course in various fields of medicine administered by National Board of Examination, Govt of India.
The meeting also held a discussion regarding KALYAKALP wherein CMO informed about the Peer Assessment report of different Health institutions which is being further submitted to MD NHM for grading and calibration.
KALYAKALP is an intuitive of Government of India to promote cleanliness in health care in public health institutions in the country.
DDC Pulwama G.M Dar assured all possible support related to the introduction of DNB courses and Quality Assurance programme and enjoined upon the committee members to focus on quality assurance so that the satisfaction level among the users of Government Health facilities is enhanced and people repose faith in public health. DDC further added that a sustainable quality assurance would improve the perception of poor quality health care which prevents the patients from using the available health services.
