    Town Official Language Implementation Committee meeting held in Srinagar

    A meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) Srinagar was held in Srinagar General Post Office under the chairmanship of Shri P D Tshering Chief Postmaster General J&K Circle on Wednesday, December 05, 2018. This was the first meeting held during 2018.

    Chairman TOLIC said during the meeting that the main aim of the TOLIC is to promote Hindi in all the Central Govt. Offices and establishments functioning in Srinagar. Shri Tshering said that the activities of TOLIC were reviewed in 2005 and since then every year meeting are held twice in a year to review the progress of use of Hindi in TOLIC member offices.

    The Chairman appreciated all the member offices for their role played in promotion of Hindi in their respective offices and hoped that this enthusiasm will continue till the Hindi is actively used in the office work. Shri P D Tshering said that many more activities will taken by TOLIC like organizing different types of Hindi Competitions, workshops, training in Srinagar so that all central Govt. employees will get encouragement. The TOLIC meeting 2018 was attended by Heads of Offices/other officers from 35 member offices which include PIB, Door Darshan, AG’s office, Radio Kashmir, Central Silk Board etc.

    Shri Gaurav Srivastava, Director Postal Services presented the welcome address and vote of thanks was presented by the Shri Deepak Sharma, Asstt Director Postal Services and Secretary TOLIC.
