ADDC Kupwara reviews Measles-Rubella vaccination arrangements

A meeting of District Task Force Committee for Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign was held here today with Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara Mohammad Yousuf Mir in chair.

The meeting discussed threadbare the arrangements put in place by the district administration for the successful conduct of Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign commencing from 24th of September, 2018 in the district.

The meeting was informed that 303705 children between the age group of 9 months to 15 years are being administered Measles-Rubella vaccine in Kupwara district. For the purpose 1810 government schools, 272 private schools and 114 Madrasas have been identified where children would be administered the vaccine.

In all, 2598 sessions have already been planned by the district administration. As many as 269 teams have been constituted while as 269 ANMS besides 1642 employees including health workers, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and Nodal teachers will perform the duty of vaccination programme.

The ADDC on the occasion impressed upon the Committee members to work in coordination and ensure the success of the campaign in the district. He said that no child should be left without vaccine even in remote and far-flung areas.

 Among others, ADC Handwara Gulzar Ahmad Bhat besides members of the District Task Force Committee were present in the meeting.
